Zene offers Zene360, a healthcare service that uses genome analysis to predict individual health risks and disease tendencies and to deliver concrete action plans. Users collect saliva with a provided kit and return it for analysis; when risks are identified Zene supplies individualized health measures. Zene360 is commercially deployed as a paid service to more than 200 health-insurance societies and other corporate clients. The company did not disclose the newest round size, but reports cumulative funding including debt of about ¥401 million. The latest round included participation from Spiral Capital and Panasonic's Kurashi Visionary Fund (Panasonic's CVC). Zene plans to expand partnerships, link Zene360 with specific health guidance programs, and develop a new integrated platform leveraging genomic information while strengthening information-management and customer-data privacy protections.
