Overview
Zeus Sleep is a UK healthtech startup that makes a non-invasive wearable worn under the chin that uses transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) to stimulate tongue muscles and help keep the airway open during sleep. The company has invested more than a decade in research and has completed three clinical trials validating its devices. It has collaborated with Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital, King’s College London, and Morgan Innovation & Technology Ltd, and is led by CEO Nigel Clarke. Zeus aims to improve the sleep quality of one million people over the next decade and targets chronic snoring and mild-to-moderate obstructive sleep apnoea. The startup plans to launch its first consumer product for snoring soon (pre-orders are being taken) and expects to follow with a medical-grade device for mild-to-moderate OSA in 2026. Financially, it recently secured external backing to accelerate development and expansion.
