Overview
Zhiketong provides digital marketing services primarily to hotels, travel companies, and entertainment businesses. Its most popular offering is direct-sale stores on WeChat; it also provides customer relationship management tools and helps hoteliers optimize offline sales efficiency. The company helps clients gain access to traffic platforms such as Douyin and Alipay. More than 17,000 hotels use its services, including about 85 percent of luxury hotels in China. Founder and CEO Liu Hua said he expects the platform to process transactions worth more than $15 billion by 2025. Zhiketong raised $42.5 million in a Series C round last year and has continued to scale its product set and distribution partnerships. Zhiketong provides direct marketing services for upscale hotels through WeChat, helping properties set up official stores and manage rates, inventory, advertising campaigns, and customer-data analysis. Thousands of upscale hotels and other companies use its platform to maximize direct sales on WeChat, which hotels favor as a cheaper alternative to online travel agencies like Ctrip. The company raised $42.5 million (300 million yuan) in a Series C round. China CYTS Tours plans to use Zhiketong’s services to promote direct, repeat visitors to destinations such as Gubei WTown. CEO Liu Hua founded the company in 2014 with two fellow alumni of eLong. In June Zhiketong previously raised $16 million (110 million yuan) in a Series B.
