Overview
Zitti provides a payment software platform that streamlines transactions between restaurants and food suppliers, offering payment processing, price comparison and vendor discovery. The company launched in March 2022 after taking $4.0M in pre-seed funding in late 2021. In the last two months it began charging customers $150 per month per restaurant location and reports strong conversions from its pilot group. Founders Dante DiCicco (a restaurateur and former Snap executive) and Erek Benz (co-founder of CREXi) built the product to give independent restaurants pricing intelligence similar to large chains. Zitti plans to deploy recent funding into AI and additional automation to show real-time pricing changes and predict product prices over the next year. The company is pursuing a city-by-city expansion, currently focused on Southern California and Chicago while viewing Austin as an emerging market. Zitti provides a payments, credit and analytics operations platform for small-to-medium-sized restaurants and food vendors. Co-founded by Dante DiCicco (CEO) and Erek Benz, the Los Angeles company is currently serving select beta customers on its platform. The company intends to use the funds to grow the team and expand the capabilities of its proprietary technology. Zitti plans to expand to new markets later this year. It raised $4M in funding led by Crossbeam, with participation from Vera Equity, Broadhaven Ventures and multiple individual investors. Named individual backers include Donald Moore, Rodney Williams, Michael Tannenbaum, Jeff Cruttenden, Andy Cohen and Chris Camp.
