  Maindeck is a platform for creating and distributing project specifications on large ships, built to standardize and digitalize data that today is reused manually. The company says its solution dramatically cuts the time to prepare service price offers, which currently takes between three and ten days. Maindeck launched a set of new features in late summer and rolled out a new tool; two weeks after that launch Wilhelmsen Ship Management became its first paying customer. Last week the startup raised over NOK 3 million from investors including Vilhelm K. Vardøy, Trond Riiber Knudsen, 2M2D and StartupLab to fund further growth. The team of three will hire an additional developer and the founders said the capital is secured for continued expansion. Maindeck aims to be on 100 ships by Easter and positions itself as the only modern software in the industry, which it says gives a clear advantage.
