Metamason Inc. develops healthcare-focused 3D scanning and 3D printing solutions for custom medical devices. Its flagship, patent-pending Respere™ is a custom-fit, 3D-printed CPAP mask to treat Obstructive Sleep Apnea, combining Scan·Fit·Print™ 3D body scanning, a patented algorithmic design and on-demand 3D printing. The company raised $3M in seed funding and intends to use the proceeds to complete FDA regulatory clearance and run initial clinical trials for Respere. Metamason is led by founder and CEO Leslie Oliver Karpas and COO/CFO and co-founder Cliff Sarkin. The company plans to execute a crowdfunding campaign later in 2016 and begin marketing activities in early 2017.
