Its proprietary technology platform integrates clinical algorithms and decision-support tools with clinician care, and it follows evidence-based guidelines and updated clinical protocols to deliver quality care at lower cost. Led by co-founder and CEO Paul Johnson, Lemonaid operates as an independent healthcare provider. The company plans to use new funding to expand its team of medical professionals and broaden services to include treatment for asthma, hypertension, Type 2 diabetes and additional mental-health services. Financially, the company has raised a total of $55M to date, including the recent Series B. The company recently completed an $11m Series A financing to support those plans. Icebreaker Health operates a telemedicine platform with a strong emphasis on security and HIPAA compliance. Its platform includes data encrypted at the file level, 24/7 monitoring and patching, HITECH-certified servers for HIPAA, penetration testing, and an intrusion detection system. The company also offers automated log monitoring and documented HIPAA risk assessments specific to every project, and maintains technology E&O and data privacy insurance. The business is led by Paul Johnson and Ian Van Every. In August 2015 the company raised $6.6M in funding, with an initial SEC filing target of $6.87M. That offering was supported by 24 unknown/undisclosed investors.
