Its pricing is driven by proprietary algorithms that analyze over 30 lakh property registration records to ensure fair market pricing and transparency. Founded in 2020 by Shubhankar Dongre, Sandeep Reddy and Raja Seetharaman, the company launched an initial program in Thane (Mumbai). Zapkey plans to use new funding to strengthen its technology and operations teams and aims to close deals on over a hundred apartments in the next 3–4 months, supported by a credit line. The company’s stated vision is to bring liquidity, trust and transparent pricing to the large resale home market, which the article cites as over a USD 50 billion opportunity with roughly 300,000 resale homes exchanging hands annually in the top seven cities.
