Overview
AlpVent is a Swiss investment company investing in highly promising start-ups. As a result of 25 years of entrepreneurial experience, they understand the needs of entrepreneurs extremely well. By offering their investment capital and management consulting services to their start-ups they do their best to provide so-called smart money support. Many start-up founders are excellent at developing products and services, however, they have difficulty promoting them. In order to support them, AlpVent has established a specialized sales department. In addition to providing sales analyses and other sales consulting services, they can even become an agent or distributor for a promising start-up. The services they currently offer are available in the demanding German-speaking countries and markets of South-Eastern Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia).

Quadrofoil produces energy-efficient, environmentally friendly vessels powered by electric motors, hydrofoils and a patented steering system. The company aims to deliver sustainable vessels ranging from personal watercraft to public and cargo transportation using hydrofoiling technology. It launched the eco-friendly Q2 Electric and has raised a total of €4.2 million since that product’s launch. Quadrofoil plans to develop new products and technologies, including solutions for autonomous water transportation systems, and to expand its R&D efforts. The startup will use recent funding to accelerate production, advance product development, and expand global marketing. Future plans include pursuing Series B funding to enable international mass serial production, establish a new R&D centre, build a sales and distribution network, and create a renting and sharing system.
