Founded in 2023 and incubated at Tsinghua University’s Institute for AI Industry Research (AIR), DISCOVER Robotics develops consumer-grade embodied intelligence products and integrated software-hardware solutions for commercial services and domestic care. In July the company officially released its seven-axis robotic arm, the AIRBOT P7, which features built-in 10 TOPS AI computing capability and an eight-core ARM Cortex-A55 processor. The firm describes its focus on delivering high-performance robotics suitable for household and service scenarios and is part of a wave of startups aiming to bring AI-powered robotics into millions of homes. Founder and chief scientist Dr. Zhou Guyue is an associate professor at Tsinghua and previously spent nearly a decade at DJI, where he led product work on the DJI Spark mini-drone series. The company has rapidly attracted large institutional and strategic investment, including back-to-back fundraising rounds that lifted its valuation to at least $1 billion.
