Overview
The National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) is a government agency that promotes research and application of new knowledge to productive and social reality of the country. ANII available to the public funding for research projects, scholarships national and international graduate programs and incentive programs for innovative entrepreneurship and culture, both in the private and public sectors. ANII developed the National Research System, a program of national economic researchers categorized based on a strict evaluation system incentives. He also created the Portal Timbo, which allows free access to all kinds of scientific publications worldwide for all Uruguayans.

Founded in 2021 by CEO Tatiana Pomar, hiSofi offers a white-label platform that reorganizes the full debt-collection journey using AI to guide when, how and via which channel to approach each customer. The platform integrates channels such as WhatsApp, SMS and email and deploys AI agents to negotiate debts, send offers and suggest payment methods like Pix. Algorithms estimate delinquency risk and payment propensity to personalize interactions and improve recovery rates while preserving customer relationships. The company was born from Pomar's more than 30 years of experience in credit markets and reports having over 30 employees and operations in eight Latin American countries. hiSofi serves large enterprises today and plans to expand its reach to medium-sized companies with the new funding. The startup emphasizes that AI is core to its product, with each interaction training the system to make higher-probability decisions.
