Term Labs develops Term Finance, an auction-based on-chain fixed-rate lending protocol designed to operate at institutional scale. Since launch, Term Finance has serviced over $100 million in volume and posts consistent weekly clearing volumes in the seven-figure range. The protocol uses isolated, modular collateral pools and multiple oracle safeguards (staleness and zero-price checks, fallback oracles, sequencer uptime checks) to mitigate contagion and concentration risk. Term Finance has completed multiple code audits, public GitHub traceability, on-chain verification, and formal verification via Certora's CLI. Term Labs is piloting auctions backed by permissioned real-world assets (RWAs) in partnership with MatrixPort and plans growth tied to tokenization and RWA adoption. The company is launching an invite-only rewards program (Season 1 running through summer into early fall) to engage and reward early adopters. Term Labs is a San Diego, CA–based blockchain research and development company led by CEO Dion Chu. It focuses on developing transparent, scalable fixed-rate lending on blockchains. The company is building Term Finance, a decentralized lending protocol that uses an auction model to support scalable fixed-rate/fixed-term lending. Term Finance aims to bring transparent, low-cost, crypto-native solutions for borrowers and lenders at institutional scale when it launches on Ethereum. Term Labs intends to use the seed funding to develop Term Finance. The company raised $2.5M in Seed funding with participation from multiple blockchain-focused investors and DeFi founders.
