  • Shelfmark

    Led · Seed · Aug 2026

Shelfmark builds a fully managed Physical AI platform that combines in-line industrial cameras, spatial sensing and proprietary deep-learning vision models to inspect high-speed continuous materials in real time. The platform fuses sensor data and embeds causal AI to link defect events with dynamic environmental and process inputs, enabling root-cause identification, prediction and guided corrective actions. Shelfmark reports 99.5% defect-detection accuracy in customer deployments, has halved inspection labor costs, generated returns up to 7x versus manual inspection, and achieved a 90% pilot conversion rate. Developed alongside operators in roughly 40 manufacturing facilities and built in Pittsburgh, the company serves initial markets including industrial films, decorated apparel, webbing and structured building components. With this funding Shelfmark plans to expand deployments, grow its sales and marketing team, and advance its roadmap from detection toward more autonomous production.

  • Besty AI

    Led · Seed · Jul 2026

Founded in 2023, Besty AI began as a communications tool and expanded into AI-driven automation across guest communications, operations and revenue management for short-term rental providers. • Nebex

    Participated · Seed · Jun 2026

Nebex builds market infrastructure for the global space economy, operating as an exchange layer that links space companies with sovereign buyers and the capital that moves deals. Founded in late 2025 by Tejpaul Bhatia, Anand Subramanian, and Manlio Di Stefano, the company aims to reduce revenue and cash-flow frictions that space founders face when engaging in government contracting. Nebex has secured a $30M seed investment led by GV and a banking relationship with J.P. Morgan to scale its platform and expand international commercial collaboration. The founder and CEO, Tejpaul Bhatia, previously led Axiom Space and is credited with over $1B in commercial space deals. Nebex's stated mission is to ensure international spend is reinvested in nations' own economies by enabling market mechanisms similar to other industries. The company is backed by a syndicate of venture funds including Eniac Ventures, 2048 Ventures, Better Tomorrow Ventures, Oceans Ventures, AIN Ventures, Also Capital, Anagram, Armory Square Ventures, Multiball Capital, Trajectory Capital, and VSC Ventures.

  • BosonQ Psi

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2025

BosonQ Psi’s core product is the Physics-Constrained Quantum-Assisted Machine Learning (PC-QAML) platform, which combines physics-based modeling with quantum-inspired computational techniques to perform AI inference. The platform is designed to run directly on space-qualified processors instead of relying on cloud or GPU-based computing. BQP plans to use its SpaceWERX SBIR award to develop and validate a software application that improves the speed and accuracy of identifying unknown objects and behaviors in space. The company positions its technology to operate on satellites and forward-deployed systems with limited computing power and intermittent communications. BQP has previously worked with the Space Domain Awareness Tap Lab and supports mission objectives for Space Operations Command Mission Delta 2 and Space Systems Command. The article notes this is BQP’s first federal contract.
