iKure Techsoft, founded in 2010 by CEO Sujay Santra, builds technology solutions aimed at reaching patients in rural areas. Its core product is the Wireless Health Incident Monitoring System (WHIMS), a software platform that enables integration and contact between rural medical practitioners and city-based doctors. The company provides tech-enabled delivery of healthcare services and works with local practitioners to extend access. In 2014 iKure raised Rs70 lakh (approximately $115k) in funding. The company said it intends to use the funds to expand operations to Orissa. As part of the funding, Satoko Kono, president of ARUN LLC, will join iKure’s board.
