Mytaverse is expanding into new multi-dimensional and cross-platform use cases across brand engagement, NFT galleries, entertainment, human resources, and coworking. The company plans product improvements that will allow users to create increasingly accurate, look-alike digital versions of themselves and to provide a more refined sense of freedom to act from anywhere. It is developing an automated platform to give enterprises the tools to build and manage their own spaces, 3D assets, and experiences. Mytaverse builds a browser-accessible 3D metaverse for business users, using Unreal Engine and cloud streaming so participants can join via PC or Mac without installing apps or needing VR/AR hardware. Mytaverse says it can host 100 people per room before automatic replication to support thousands of simultaneous attendees, and it positions its offering as a cost- and carbon-saving alternative to executive travel and physical events. The company began as GathR Virtual Studios in April 2020, is led by Kenneth Landau and Jaime Lopez, and is piloting with customers including PepsiCo, Dassault Corporation, Tekni-Plex, and Zaha Hadid Architects. The startup has raised $2.65 million in pre-seed funding and employs about 25 people. It plans to continue building interoperable architecture to allow seamless transfers between spaces and expand its library of roughly 25 environments.
