Glamrs, operated by Newgen Internet Networks and founded in 2012 by Naveen Sadarangani and Zubin Sarkari, is a digital video platform focused on makeup, hair, style, fitness, skincare and nutrition for young Indian women. The platform currently hosts over 400 original videos and reports strong engagement: video views of original content are growing 40% month on month, with over 4 million video views in the past 30 days, 7.5 million page views last month and a Facebook reach of more than 11 million unique users. More than 80% of traffic is on mobile and the company is preparing to launch the Glamrs app. The firm plans to use new funds to expand its content base and build key data analytics and technology assets. It also intends to broaden content categories into food, travel, parenting and education and to expand reach to 50 million Indian women active on social media. The longer-term stated goal is to aggregate an audience of over 150 million.
