Trell started in 2016 as a travel video blog and has since pivoted to a broader user‑generated content platform across lifestyle, fashion, beauty, movies/TV, recipes, travel and personal care. The company is owned and operated by Bengaluru‑headquartered Trell Experiences. The app claims over 4 million content creators and over 2 million monthly active users on its LinkedIn page. Trell competes with vernacular user‑generated platforms such as Tripoto and similar entrants like Woovly. The company participated in Sequoia Capital India’s Surge accelerator (second cohort). Financially, Trell has recently raised equity and previously took on debt from existing investors. The team includes founders Pulkit Agrawal, Prashant Sachan, Arun Lodhi, Bimal Kartheek Rebba and Nirav Sheth (Sheth left in 2018).
