VistaCare Medical (formerly DTAmedical) develops, produces, and commercializes the CE‑marked VistaCare® medical device and platform for managing complex and serious wounds using its Wound Environment Control (WEC®) approach. The system controls humidity, oxygen and temperature around the wound and is already used in more than 30 hospitals and on over 300 patients, typically reducing treatment time by about 10 days and halving required hospitalization for cover procedures. Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Besançon, the company employs 12 people and completed product CE certification after a 2015 seed round. The company plans to scale production in the Besançon industrial area, create a Benelux subsidiary (VistaCare Medical Benelux), and expand marketing to hospital facilities across France and Europe. R&D priorities include finalizing a connected outpatient version for home telemedicine and establishing a Digital R&D office in Liège to develop the ambulatory connected device. VistaCare also intends to strengthen its team through new hires and expects the expansion to contribute to roughly 60 industrial jobs in the long term.
