SuperSonic Imagine develops the Aixplorer® MultiWave™ Ultrasound System, an ultrasound imaging platform cleared by the FDA and bearing CE mark approval. The company intends to use new capital to accelerate development of its technology and finance worldwide commercialization of Aixplorer. After an initial focus on breast imaging, SuperSonic plans to expand clinical applications to liver, thyroid, abdominal, musculoskeletal, gynecological and prostate imaging, and to enable future therapeutic capabilities. The company sells directly in France, Germany, the USA and the UK and operates through a worldwide distribution network, including Hologic for the U.S. breast care market and Canon in Japan. Founded in 2005, SuperSonic also maintains offices in Seattle, London and Munich.
