Tepeo builds the ZEB®, a plug-in Zero Emission Boiler designed to replace gas, oil, LPG or electric boilers while working with existing heating and hot-water systems. The ZEB® uses smart controls to heat a thermal core at the cheapest and greenest times, taking into account a customer’s electricity tariff, grid carbon‑intensity forecast and user preferences for carbon versus cost. From Spring 2023 the ZEB® will also be able to charge using excess home solar PV generation that would otherwise be exported. Tepeo plans to use its new funding to develop its Wokingham head office and to grow production, R&D, assembly and commercial teams. The company also intends to expand sales across the UK. Johan du Plessis is the company’s founder and CEO.
