Opencell Software provides an open-source, carrier-grade convergent billing system covering the entire consume-to-cash process including mediation, rating, charging, invoicing and accounts receivable management. Founded in March 2015 and led by CEO David Meyer, the company is based in Dijon, France. Its solution is available for on-premise installation and for cloud deployment on the Microsoft Azure marketplace. The product is used by telco, utilities, cloud infrastructure, software, health, banking, media and transport operators. Opencell raised €650k in seed funding and additionally secured €600k in R&D and debt financing from BPI France. The company plans to use the funds to expand operations, sales, product development and marketing and is targeting a Series A round in the second half of 2016.
