  • Enpower Greentech

    Participated · Series A · Jun 2022

Enpower Greentech develops ultra-high energy density lithium metal anode and sulfide-electrolyte all-solid-state batteries for drone and electric vehicle applications. Its proprietary technologies, the company says, broke the energy-density ceiling of lithium‑ion batteries without compromising safety. Enpower operates R&D and manufacturing centers in China, Japan and the United States and collaborates with SoftBank Group and multiple auto OEMs; partners include Nobel Laureate John Goodenough and Professor Kano Ryoji. It has a team of battery experts with an average of 20 years' experience, holds over 100 battery-related patents and has published hundreds of papers. The company has manufactured 1.2Ah, 3.6Ah and 10Ah pouch cells and cylindrical cells with energy densities up to 520 Wh/kg and 1100 Wh/L; its cells passed the nail penetration test and obtained UN38.3 transport certification. Enpower plans commercial shipment of lithium metal batteries to drone manufacturers in Q4 and will extend collaborations with auto OEMs as it iterates products; early commercialization is intended to build supply chains and lower costs. Recently raised financing will be used to accelerate production-line setup, product enhancement and market expansion.

  • Immunefi

    Participated · Equity · Oct 2021

Immunefi is a Web3 bug-bounty platform that connects decentralized projects with whitehat hackers to identify and remediate vulnerabilities. Launched in December 2020, the company developed a scaled bug-bounty standard that ties rewards to risk, encouraging projects to offer payouts equivalent to about 10% of funds at potential risk. Immunefi says it has paid out $60 million to whitehat hackers and claims to have saved more than $25 billion in funds from being hacked. Its bounties have reached as high as $10 million (Wormhole) and $6 million (Aurora) to reflect the high stakes in crypto. The platform faces competition from firms such as HackerOne (which has moved into web3) and Safeheron. CEO Mitchell Amador said the new funding will be used to scale the team amid almost $2 billion lost to hacks and scams in crypto this year. Immunefi operates a bug-bounty platform for smart contracts and crypto projects that enables security researchers to review code, disclose vulnerabilities, and receive payments. The platform lets companies access security talent and run programs to uncover critical vulnerabilities in DeFi protocols, where bugs can lead to direct loss of users' funds. Clients include Synthetix, Chainlink, SushiSwap, PancakeSwap, Bancor, Cream Finance, Compound, Alchemix and others. Immunefi has facilitated large white-hat payouts—Polygon paid out $2,000,000 via Immunefi for a vulnerability that threatened roughly $850 million, and Belt Finance paid $1,050,000 via Immunefi after a critical discovery. The company emphasizes that Web3 bugs act as emergency-response issues rather than conventional Web2 reports, and founder Mitchell Amador says the platform helps protect DeFi projects and shape the industry's future. With billions locked in DeFi and rising losses from hacks, Immunefi positions itself as a critical security layer for the ecosystem.

  • Boson Protocol

    Participated · Equity · Mar 2021

Boson Protocol is a London, UK–based project established in 2019 by Justin Banon that is developing a capture-resistant dCommerce ecosystem using NFTs encoded with game theory. It is advancing a decentralized autonomous network to coordinate commerce transactions with minimized arbitration and to create an equitable Web3 marketplace for commerce data. Once live, Boson’s solution will enable users to exchange digital assets for real-world items without monopolistic intermediaries capturing value or hoarding customer data. The project closed funding rounds totaling $10M prior to its public sale. The funds will be used to grow technical and product teams, further develop prototype pilots for launch partners, and accelerate ecosystem development through grants channeled by the dCommerce DAO. Boson Protocol is building infrastructure that connects smart contracts with real-world commerce and data, enabling digital assets to be tied to physical items for frictionless exchange. The project is developing a working prototype that it plans to unveil in the coming months. Recent hiring will add 15 roles across Product, Operations and Technology, and the company is expanding token engineering and ecosystem development teams. Funds raised will finance these hires, continued international team expansion, and prototype development. Boson also plans a public token sale later in the year. The company is supported by industry advisors including founders and product leads from Ocean Protocol, Blockscience, Consensys, and Outlier Ventures.

  • Push Protocol

    Participated · Seed · Dec 2020

EPNS is a communication protocol that enables on-chain communications with opt-in, permissionless channel notifications and subscriptions using a user’s on-chain identifier rather than usernames. Since launching in January, the protocol has powered 4 million notifications to more than 44,000 subscribers and the founder has an aggressive plan to reach one million users. EPNS currently provides notifications for CoinDesk media alerts, ENS domain expirations, Snapshot governance updates and Oasis vault liquidations. The company plans to expand its team and develop on blockchains beyond Ethereum to broaden reach. EPNS is already in testnet on Polygon and intends to launch on BNB Chain, Harmony and an unspecified non-EVM chain by the end of the year. It also plans to launch wallet-to-wallet communication in the third quarter. EPNS builds a decentralized notification protocol that lets any dApp, smart contract or service send platform-agnostic notifications to wallet addresses via mobile apps, crypto wallets, or web browsers. The protocol includes a DeFi component that routes staking from services to lending (AAVE) so users who opt in receive crypto earnings for receiving notifications. EPNS aims to become the web3 standard for notifications, enable fee-splitting among wallets and infrastructure via decentralized governance, and launch a governance token called $PUSH. The project has received grants from AAVE and Matic Network and was a finalist in Gitcoin's Kernel Fellowship, and a participant in IDEO Product Validation Day and EthGlobal HackMoney. EPNS closed a $750k seed round at a reported $5 million valuation and was previously bootstrapped. The team is led by founders Harsh Rajat and Richa Joshi, who have technical and product backgrounds.
