Founded in 2017 by Adriel Araujo, Alejandro Parodi and Matías Dib, Hackmetrix offers a platform that processes information, correlates vulnerability data, detects risks and generates automated alerts to help organizations pursue and maintain cybersecurity certifications such as ISO27k and PCI. The company began operations in Mexico in early 2022 and reported 150% growth in sales there over 12 months, and it has plans to expand further into Mexico and Colombia. To address regional talent shortages it launched Hackers Academy in 2022, which has run multiple cohorts and planned a third in December 2023. Financially, Hackmetrix closed a $1.3M bridge round in June 2023 and is planning a Series A for late 2024. The company has continued market engagement activities, including participating as a Gold Sponsor at Cybersec 2026.

  • Desteia

    Participated · Seed · Feb 2025

Desteia is a NYC-based technology startup that provides tools to help leaders and operators make optimal supply-chain decisions. Its platform uses AI to extract and organize information from unstructured data such as emails, messages and logistics documents. Desteia connects this information using graph theory—modeling nodes as locations and edges as routes—to create a dashboard for managing shipments across ocean, ground and air. The company has specific expertise in U.S.–Mexico cross-border operations and plans to use new funding to focus on that trade corridor. Desteia raised $8M in Seed funding (bringing total funding to $11.5M) to support that expansion. It has partnerships and contracts with retailers, auto manufacturers and CPGs in North America, and was founded by Françoise Lavertu, Diego Solorzano and Austin Poore.

The startup is in commercial discussions with Oxxo to integrate VisionX across that chain’s network in Latin America. Spot grew its engineering headcount from nine to 30 and plans to expand to 50, and it has added theft-detection and human-behavior features to its platform. The company raised $2 million to fund product development and support these commercial expansions.
