  • WANNA

    Participated · Seed · Jan 2019

Wannaby builds AR commerce experiences and has launched a beta of Wanna Kicks, an iOS app that lets users virtually try on sneakers by pointing their camera at their feet. The app uses 3D geometry algorithms and neural networks to identify shoe position and tracks feet as users move; Wannaby creates bespoke 3D models in its own studio. The company is working on additional features such as mirror-facing mode and video sharing. Wannaby positions the product to help retailers and customers by increasing online conversions and reducing returns. It targets Gen Z and millennial sneaker buyers and emphasizes AR as a marketing and discovery tool. CEO Sergey Arkhangelskiy, an ex-Googler, leads the company, which has raised seed funding to support its product and modeling work.
