Yeasty develops an alt-protein ingredient by upcycling unused brewer’s yeast through a proprietary process developed after lab work at AgroParisTech and Genopole. The company offers a circular solution that both valorises brewer waste and supplies a high-protein input for meat alternatives, bakery, snacks and sports nutrition. More than 30 players in the food industry have already tested or praised Yeasty’s protein. The team says the ingredient combines nutritional qualities, taste and low environmental impact, targeting vegan/flexitarian, catering and sports nutrition markets. Funds from the recent raise will be used to industrialize production and produce samples for manufacturers to test recipes. Yeasty’s stated objective is to build an industrial site by 2025 with an annual capacity of 5,000 tons.
