AMILI is a Singapore precision gut microbiome company founded in 2019 that builds a multi-ethnic repository of microbiome data and samples, including the only existing microbiome bank in Southeast Asia. Its core products include diagnostics, predictive algorithms and microbiome-modifying interventions powered by its proprietary analytics engine, AMILI Prime. The company licenses its database to academic institutions, biotech firms and food manufacturers to identify biomarkers and inform product formulation. AMILI also provides faecal microbiota transplants and has launched a consumer health brand, BIO & ME, offering probiotics and diagnostic tests based on its database, with planned rollouts in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong later this year. It focuses clinical research on health and wellness, oncology, and response to microbiome-based therapeutics, having conducted over 20 research studies valued at over $40 million. The company intends to use new funding to expand in Southeast Asia and the rest of Asia, pursue additional research partnerships, and further develop AMILI Prime.

Food Market Hub provides an online platform that automates purchasing and inventory-tracking for restaurants and F&B businesses, syncing data from POS, inventory, and accounting systems for procurement decision-making. The platform lets customers order from existing and new suppliers and offers third-party software integrations to deliver comprehensive real-time data. It has expanded its offerings with a payments service in Malaysia that enables invoicing and collections within the platform. Since early 2020 the company says it doubled active users to 5,000 and its annualized total order value grew more than 4x to US$600 million as of October 2021. Founded in 2017 and based in Malaysia, Food Market Hub already has a footprint across six countries and counts customers such as The Coffee Academics, Putien, Din Tai Fung, and Yum Brands. The company plans to use new capital to expand further in Indonesia, strengthen presence in Singapore and Thailand, enter markets like Vietnam, and roll out financing tools to support regional F&B recovery. Food Market Hub is a cloud-based platform that connects food and beverage outlets and central kitchens directly to suppliers to automate purchasing and inventory tracking. The platform supports ordering via the app, email, or WhatsApp and uses AI-based forecasting to predict purchasing needs from historical data. It is used by about 2,000 food and beverage outlets across Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan and handles about $200 million in purchase orders annually; customers include Din Tai Fung, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Putien. The company reports close to zero churn and says demand and onboarding accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Founded in 2017 by Anthony See and Shayna Teh, Food Market Hub has raised $4.7 million to date. Part of the new Series A will be used to expand into Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
