VAE Labs is a pre-revenue consumer technology company that developed the VAE Energy Spray using a patent-pending HyperSoluble caffeine technology. Each spray contains 20 milligrams of caffeine (three sprays equal one cup of coffee); bottles contain 36 sprays (equivalent to 12 cups), come in icy mint and mango flavors, and have zero calories with L-theanine and L-tyrosine included. The founders, Orri Bogdan, Chaim Weinerman and Mohand Khouider, developed the product while studying neuroscience chemistry in Canada and overcame solubility and manufacturing challenges after an early Indiegogo campaign. The company raised over $55,000 on Indiegogo in 2020 but experienced manufacturing delays and defective, leaky bottles that required a redesign of the bottle and formula. VAE Labs plans a first direct-to-consumer production run of 10,000 units launching by early March at $9.99 per bottle to test branding, messaging and price points before a retail launch; it also has a distributor lined up in New York. The company is hiring in-house content creators for TikTok and intends to use funding to replace early backers' bottles and to continue innovating its spray technology to expand into supplements such as CBD, THC, melatonin, vitamins and eventually medicine. Financially the company is pre-revenue and, after the recent seed financing, has an $8.5 million post-money valuation.
