  Polyplus-transfection develops innovative solutions for the delivery of nucleic acids, acting as a specialist in in-vivo intracellular nucleic acid transfer for research and therapeutic programs. Its work includes partnerships with biotechnology companies and university laboratories on RNA interference programs. The company is advancing new compounds dedicated to siRNA delivery that recently produced promising preclinical results in lung and prostate cancer models. To support these programs it plans to expand research and development activities and recruit an additional 10 researchers and laboratory technicians. That hiring would raise its research staff to 25 out of a total workforce of 40. The company is based in Illkirch, France, and intends to deploy new funding to accelerate its R&D pipeline.
