Overview

Since late 2015, they have dedicated ourselves to bring to the market an intelligent thermal technology that knows exactly how and when to keep people warm. The three Clim8 co-founders saw a tremendous need to create an ingredient brand – Clim8 – that would combine both Textile and Digital industries. While until now most of intelligent wearables were able to track user’s activities, Clim8 provides a technology that monitors, analyzes, activates and regulates accordingly to the user’s specific needs.

Vaire Computing is a London- and Seattle-based startup building silicon chips that implement reversible (time-reversible) computing to minimize energy dissipation and heat. Its core approach recycles energy internally inside the chip rather than releasing it as heat, aiming for negligible power use per operation. The company says reversible architectures can scale as many small, ultra-efficient cores and could be used for general-purpose CPUs or GPUs. Founders are serial entrepreneur Rodolfo Rosini and Hannah Earley, a University of Cambridge researcher in unconventional computing. Vaire has hired senior scientist Mike Frank and was named to Intel Ignite’s second U.K. cohort. Financially, it raised a $4M seed round and had previously raised $500k, bringing total disclosed funding to $4.5M.
