Gizmox provides an enterprise-class HTML5 platform to build new business apps and translate existing complex client-server IT applications into mobile and web interfaces. Its product offering includes VisualWebGUI, an HTML5 framework for enterprise UIs, and InstantCloudMove, a migration tool to convert client-server apps to HTML5 and the cloud. Current customers include large enterprises such as Visa, Daimler and Bezeq Telecom, which have used the platform to mobilize mission‑critical applications. The company positions HTML5 as the practical standard for complex enterprise applications that must support many devices and security/management needs. Gizmox plans to expand its customer base and invest in product areas like security and performance management while accelerating sales and marketing. Financially, it has just closed new funding that will be used to build and staff its Boston/Cambridge headquarters. Gizmox develops Visual WebGui, a platform that lets data-centric enterprise applications be built, migrated and run on HTML5 web, cloud and mobile environments. The company’s technology aims to remove Ajax complexities and network limitations so applications of any size can be used across desktop, web, cloud and mobile. Gizmox reports more than 1 million downloads of its software and over 35,000 VWG applications in production at first-tier organizations such as SAP, IBM, Visa, Thomson Reuters, Shell, Texas Instruments and Goodyear, as well as major banks, medical, government and military institutions. The company is led by CEO Navot Peled and is working with investor Citrix to enable enterprises to deliver existing and new applications to HTML5-enabled devices.
