Overview
Cosylab provides system integration and customer adapted products and solutions, covering the complete area of control systems and instrumentation. They are specialized in accelerators, both for particle therapy and scientific research, as well as tokamaks and radiotelescopes. Their services are used by project directors, group leaders and engineers, who are burdened with deadlines and user demands, to achieve better performance while significantly reducing commissioning time, man-power and cost. Cosylab employs over 180 people, in majority engineers and physicists. They are expert developers and integrators of state-of-the-art software and electronics. They have at least 20 experts in each of their core technologies (e.g. C-ACS, C-TCS, EPICS, TANGO, LabVIEW, Control System Studio and WinCC OA, and FPGA). Their services range from writing specifications, across design and implementation to installation. This provides a cost-effective, low-risk delivery of a control system or any of its components at a fixed price. Cosylab offers deep inside knowledge and industry-standard development processes that include systems engineering, project management and quality assurance.

Neutron Therapeutics develops a comprehensive solution for Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT), centered on its nuBeam® neutron source and associated systems. The company applies high‑power proton accelerator technology to enable practical, in‑hospital neutron beam generation for BNCT. Neutron is partnering with Cosylab to incorporate Cosylab’s OncologyOne radiation therapy software into nuBeam® systems and to bundle the solutions for hospitals worldwide. The strategic collaboration includes an investment element valued at up to $25M, with Cosylab receiving equity in exchange for cash, software development expertise and other in‑kind contributions. Neutron was founded in 2015 and is headquartered just outside of Boston, MA. The nuBeam® neutron source is not approved for commercial or clinical use by the FDA, PMDA, EMA or other regulatory body.

Leo Cancer Care develops an integrated upright platform that applies the same seating-based architecture across imaging, photon therapy and proton therapy. Its upright imaging system is FDA-cleared and is used for treatment planning and has planned future radiology applications. On the treatment side, its Marie® platform enables a compact upright proton therapy room by fixing the beam and rotating a seated patient, a design that Stanford Medicine used to deliver the world’s first compact upright proton treatment on June 4, 2026. The company reports adoption by leading centers including Stanford Medicine, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and McLaren Health Care and says its approach can enable installations in existing radiotherapy vaults. Leo plans to use the $65M Series D to scale manufacturing, accelerate commercial deployment globally, and continue clinical and product development across its proton, photon and imaging offerings.
