Hashnote is the first fully regulated, institutional-grade investment management platform for DeFi. It combines traditional finance fund infrastructure with on-chain transparency and security to simplify DeFi while ensuring secure, verified transactions with every counterparty. The platform provides full regulatory and KYC/AML compliance for investment structures including yield generation, downside protection, and leveraged upside products. Hashnote emphasizes zero counterparty risk, customizable risk/reward strategies, and full-service support for institutional clients. The company launched after a US$5mn incubation investment from Cumberland Labs, which also provided blockchain development, product, engineering, legal, and go-to-market support. Cumberland Labs’ Head of Strategy, Tama Churchouse, said he is onboarding as Hashnote’s first client, indicating early institutional interest. Hashnote positions itself as the convergence of traditional and decentralized finance and aims to shape what finance will look like over the next decade.
