    CommonGrounds Workplace, based in San Diego, CA and led by CEO Jacob Bates, operates an enterprise-grade Workplace-as-a-Service (WaaS) platform delivering flexible workplaces, office space, HQ on Demand, coworking, and property services. Its offering includes hosted events, speakers, lunch-and-learns, facility management and CG+, a mobile application that lets members manage subscriptions, teams, room bookings and job postings and can be white-labeled for asset owners. The company supplies enterprise-grade furniture, fixtures, security and technology and has developed and patented a demountable wall system in partnership with Tecno of Milan to address customization, sound mitigation and security needs. CommonGrounds expanded from one open location in Carlsbad to 21 locations in various stages of opening within a year, with roughly 610,099 square feet open and under construction across 20 cities and 11 states. It has signed over 294,000 square feet of new leases in seven cities and is negotiating with asset owners to grow to approximately two million square feet across roughly 50 locations within 24 months. The company intends to use the recent financing to expand operations.

The company works with twenty major players in both the private and public sectors, including the AHNAC group and the Curie Institute. It plans to use recent funding to accelerate both technical and commercial development of the solution and to strengthen its team, particularly at the R&D level. On 13 August 2019 Sancare raised €1m in funding. Backers named in the round include Elaia Partners (PSL Innovation Fund), Davidson Group and business angels such as Franck Le Ouay and Romain Niccoli. The platform is positioned for further commercial rollout within healthcare facilities.
