- Rejoni
Participated · Series C · Jun 2026
Rejoni is focused on developing and commercializing gynecological products built on proprietary biomaterials, with its lead investigational product the Juveena Hydrogel System. Juveena is designed to reduce the incidence and severity of intrauterine adhesions by placing a temporary hydrogel spacer in the uterine cavity using a proprietary transcervical catheter. The product is investigational and pending U.S. FDA approval and is not available for sale. Rejoni is clinical-stage and plans to scale manufacturing, supply operations, and market-access and physician/patient engagement in preparation for commercial launch. The company was founded in June 2020 in Bedford, MA; Amar Sawhney is founder and chairman and John Nealon is CEO. The recent $25 million financing will support these commercialization and regulatory preparations.
- STRM.BIO
Participated · Seed · Jan 2026
STRM.BIO is a Cambridge, Massachusetts–based biotechnology company focused on a non-viral, cell-derived delivery modality for in vivo gene and cell therapies. Its megakaryocyte-derived vesicle (MV) platform is designed to safely and precisely carry complex genetic cargos directly to bone marrow, overcoming the immunogenicity and payload limits of viral and synthetic vectors. The company’s initial pipeline targets Fanconi anemia and other rare hematological disorders, while longer-term plans include in vivo CAR-T and broader immune-cell engineering applications. Recent funding activity has provided meaningful runway: $8 million in Series Seed 2 equity coupled with an $8.4 million ARPA-H contract brought total seed-stage capital raised in late 2025 to $16.4 million. STRM.BIO intends to use the proceeds to complete platform validation, advance preclinical programs toward the clinic, and prepare for a forthcoming Series A. Backers now include strategic pharma investors Recordati and Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund alongside Delos Capital and Blue Bay Capital. No revenue or clinical data have been disclosed to date.
- Ensoma
Participated · Equity · Sep 2025
Ensoma is a Boston-based biotechnology company focused on engineering hematopoietic stem cells directly inside the body to create durable genetic medicines for genetic diseases, immune disorders, and cancer. Its platform uses high-capacity virus-like particles (VLPs) that selectively target HSCs and can deliver up to 35 kb of genetic cargo, enabling single-base edits through large multi-gene insertions. The company combines these VLPs with proprietary base-editing and gene-integration systems, aiming for one-time intravenous administration. Proceeds from its latest financing will fund a Phase 1/2 clinical trial of lead candidate EN-374 for X-linked chronic granulomatous disease and support platform expansion into immuno-oncology and sickle cell programs. Ensoma’s strategy centers on creating off-the-shelf, non-myeloablative treatments that avoid the complexity and cost of ex vivo cell processing. The firm’s board now includes a Gilead appointee following the strategic investment. No financial metrics or commercial revenues have been disclosed to date.
- Avenzo Therapeutics
Participated · Series B · Sep 2025
Avenzo Therapeutics is focused on creating potential best-in-class treatments for cancers with high unmet need. Its pipeline now includes four clinical-stage assets: AVZO-021, a selective CDK2 inhibitor in Phase 1 trials for advanced solid tumors and HR+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer; AVZO-023, a selective CDK4 inhibitor in Phase 1/2 trials for similar indications; AVZO-1418, an EGFR/HER3 bispecific antibody-drug conjugate in Phase 1/2; and AVZO-103, a Nectin4/TROP2 bispecific ADC slated to enter Phase 1/2 studies in 2025. The company has rapidly expanded its clinical portfolio from one to four programs within the past year. Avenzo has raised a total of $446 million to date, including a $386 million Series A/A-1 in November 2024 and the recently closed Series B round. These funds are earmarked to advance clinical development and broaden the company’s oncology pipeline. Headquartered in San Diego, Avenzo is led by co-founder, president, and CEO Athena Countouriotis, M.D.
- TRex Bio
Led · Series B · Nov 2024
TRex Bio is a life-sciences company focused on harnessing regulatory T cells (Tregs) to create more precise treatments for immune-mediated disorders. Its lead candidate, TRB-061, targets tumor necrosis factor receptor 2 to correct malfunctioning Tregs in atopic dermatitis and is currently in Phase 1 trials with data expected as early as 2027. The company is also advancing two additional programs, TRB-071 and TRB-081, which are slated to enter first-in-human studies next year for undisclosed immune conditions. By selectively activating specific Treg populations, TRex Bio aims to control inflammation without broadly suppressing the immune system, differentiating it from existing eczema therapies. Competitive pressure comes from biotechs such as Corvus Pharmaceuticals, Apogee Therapeutics and Nektar Therapeutics, as well as Sanofi’s amlitelimab. Financially, TRex Bio has raised substantial venture backing, including an $84 million Series B round in 2024 and milestone payments from partnered programs with Eli Lilly and Johnson & Johnson. The new capital will largely support ongoing and upcoming clinical trials across its Treg-targeted pipeline.
