Bnewable develops and operates battery systems and an in-house energy management platform called Voltana to optimize solar production for commercial customers. The platform uses data-driven algorithms and machine learning to control batteries for optimal usage, combined with steering and trading of excess energy by an internal team of energy experts. The company offers a "battery-as-a-service" model, providing both the technology and the investment in the battery itself. Bnewable says its solutions both maximize customers' solar efficiency and contribute to grid stability amid rising electrification. The company plans to accelerate operations in Belgium, invest further in battery storage at customer sites, and pursue broader Belgian and European ambitions. Bnewable was founded in 2022 and is led by CEO Christophe Degrez and Kristof Vereenooghe.
