Sandstone Diagnostics develops a data-driven approach to men’s reproductive health centered on its Trak™ Male Fertility Testing System, an FDA-cleared consumer device. The Trak device is used at home alongside the Trak mobile app to test sperm count and help men take action to improve fertility. The mobile app collects lifestyle data and applies proprietary algorithms developed with urologists to deliver targeted feedback on how health and habits may impact fertility. The company positions the product to lower barriers to fertility testing and to support couples trying to conceive. Sandstone was founded in 2012 in part by government scientists from Sandia National Laboratories and is led by CEO Karen Drexler. It is based in Livermore, CA.
