- FARE Protocol
Participated · Seed · May 2023
FARE Protocol builds probability smart contracts that trigger on transparent on-chain events and use probability variables to determine outcomes. Its first use case is randomized minting and burning (described as “winning” and “losing”) of the FARE token, with the probability of losing or burning set higher than minting to create deflationary pressure. Rather than a centralized house capturing profits, the protocol is designed to pass value to FARE holders through token deflation. FARE plans to launch its ecosystem and native token on Ethereum layer‑2 Arbitrum later this year. The company raised $6.2 million in a seed round ahead of the token launch. Investors named in the round include Goat Capital (managed by Justin Kan), C Squared Ventures, 6th Man Ventures, Arrington Capital, Eniac Ventures, Spark Digital Capital, Morningstar Ventures, Quantstamp, DWeb3 and others.

Participated · Equity · Jul 2022
Mighty Bear Games is a Singapore-based studio building mobile-first, multi-platform games led by CEO Simon Davis. It is expanding into web3 with its first blockchain game, Mighty Action Heroes, a multiplayer third-person battle royale slated for release later this year. Mighty Action Heroes will be powered by Polygon, and the studio plans to release an NFT PFP collection this summer tied to early access and in-game rewards. The company raised $10M in funding to accelerate growth and expand operations. Polygon will also provide funding, marketing, technical advice, strategy and ecosystem support for the web3 title. Mighty Bear is a Singapore-based game studio preparing its debut smartphone title. The startup was founded by four former King.com staffers and its 18-person team includes veterans from Ubisoft, EA, Lucasarts, Disney and Gameloft. Its first game is an MMORPG currently being soft-tested for scalability among users in India and the Philippines, with a full iOS and Android launch planned later this year. The studio intends to launch a second title as well and manage both games concurrently, aiming to streamline large desktop experiences into five-minute play sessions for a broader audience. As part of R&D, Mighty Bear creates videos and advertising for mock games to test user engagement and refine concepts before soft launch. Financially, the company previously raised $775,000 in a pre-seed round in early 2017 and has now secured a new seven-figure financing of roughly $2.5 million. Mighty Bear Games is a Singapore-based studio founded by four former King.com/Non Stop Games employees: Simon Davis, Fadzuli Said, Benjamin Chevalier and Saurabh Shukul. The eight-person team has more than 50 years of combined game-development experience and is based at Pixel Studios, a government-backed initiative. The company formed after King.com closed its Singapore office following Activision’s acquisition, and the founders saw the closure as an opportunity to start anew. The team cites Singapore’s talent pool, regional access and government support as reasons to stay.
- ZKX
Participated · Seed · Jul 2022
ZKX is a decentralized exchange that makes perpetual futures trading social via PVP battles, copy trade pools and gamified competitions. The protocol leverages an appchain to deliver high scalability and high-speed APIs, combining centralized exchange efficiency with DeFi self-custody. ZKX launched its native $ZKX token on KuCoin, Gate.io and Bitget and introduced staking and an airdrop to reward users and early adopters. The token has a total supply of 100 million with 33% unlocked at launch; staking lets users earn a share of platform revenue and supports governance. The team plans to expand cross-chain interoperability and broaden presence across multiple L1 and L2 ecosystems in 2024. ZKX has raised $7.6M to date from a mix of strategic and earlier investors to accelerate protocol growth and feature rollout. ZKX builds an open-source, permissionless derivatives trading protocol on StarkNet (StarkWare’s L2) that leverages ZK rollups. The protocol aims to address DeFi challenges such as over-reliance on oracles, difficulty bootstrapping liquidity for new derivatives, and centralized listing mechanisms. ZKX plans to launch its mainnet in Q4, followed by its first product: an exchange enabling crypto derivatives trading on StarkNet with built-in rewards, liquidity provisioning, and support for complex trading strategies. The company raised $4.5M in seed funding to support further development of its core offerings, DAO funding, and continued growth of the ZKX ecosystem. ZKX was founded in 2021 and is headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Founders named in the articles are Eduard Jubany Tur, Naman Sehgal, and Vitaly Yakovlev.
