Overview
Earlymarket LLP is a family office with an investment arm dedicated to early-stage technology start-ups. We operate within four themes: the Energy Transition, Future of Agriculture, Personalised Healthcare and IoT & Connectivity themes. We are pro-active and involved as an investor, and from experience we have found the best time to have a meaningful impact is in the early stages of a company. Our spectrum of investment for early stage start-ups is, therefore, from Pre-Seed to Series A.

BeeLine provides a Bluetooth-connected, handlebar-mounted device paired with a smartphone app that shows only the direct distance and direction to a rider’s destination rather than turn-by-turn directions. The device is cased in ABS plastic and secures to the handlebar with a silicone strap; it can also be attached to a keyring or a bag. The company partners with London industrial design agency Map Project Office. BeeLine targets urban cyclists who want to pick their own path and discover the city. Founded in April 2015 by Mark Jenner and Tom Putnam and based in London, the company intends to use new funds to grow its tech team and expand product capabilities. Financially, BeeLine raised over £500k in seed funding to support these plans.

Iotera develops the IOTA GPS pet tracking system, a small, long battery‑life real‑time GPS device that uses a crowd‑sourced wireless network. The network provides tracking coverage across much of the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York City and other large metropolitan areas. While useful for bikes, cars and children, the product is primarily marketed as a pet tracker. Led by CEO Ben Wild, the company is taking pre-orders for the Iota GPS tracker and targeted delivery in the summer of 2015 following a successful July 2014 Kickstarter campaign that generated more than $280k in pre-orders. Iotera closed a $1M financing round to expand delivery of its IOTA pet tracking system. Investors in the round included ZenShin Capital Partners, Crunchfund, Startup Capital Ventures, String Ventures, EarlyMarket and Rubicon Venture Capital.
