It has created an owned-and-operated professional monitoring center in Richmond, Virginia. Last year SimpliSafe surpassed its projection of $400 million in annualized recurring revenue. - Numerated
Participated · Equity · May 2017
Numerated offers a modular commercial lending platform that streamlines originations and underwriting for business lending from application to close. Its platform uses advanced machine learning to capture, normalize, and consistently present financial statement data from diverse formats including handwritten notes, Excel files, and PDFs. Numerated says its AI reduces financial spreading and analysis times from days to hours, provides full audit trails, and surfaces granular trends in underlying risk factors. The company is used by more than 500,000 businesses and 30,000 financial institution associates and has processed over $50 billion in lending; it was the fastest-growing fintech SaaS company on the 2022 Inc. 5000. Numerated partners with banks and credit unions of all sizes to improve borrower convenience and drive operational efficiency. Following the Citi engagement, Numerated will expand delivery of its financial spreading solution into enterprise bank lending operations. Numerated provides a real-time sales platform that helps banks attract and deepen business relationships. The platform applies machine learning and AI to internal and external data to pre-qualify businesses and deliver real-time borrowing experiences that can provide financing in as few as three minutes. Numerated underwrites every business in a bank’s market daily across multiple credit products and analyzes transactions to identify relationship expansion opportunities, applying its data science to more than 1.4 billion bank transactions. Its platform supports eight business banking and commercial lending products and is used by partner banks that represent more than $150B in aggregate assets. The technology was developed within and for $11B Eastern Bank and the company was spun out as an independent company in 2017. Numerated will use the new funding to accelerate platform expansion and keep pace with demand from existing and prospective customers. Numerated provides banks with a real-time lending and growth platform that combines automated credit decisioning, integrated marketing and sales tools, and a real-time lending customer experience. Its end-to-end platform is designed to help community and regional banks digitize business lending, attract new customers, and expand share-of-wallet. The platform delivers pre-eligibility data and actionable business information to empower bankers and branches. The company said it will use the additional financing to meet market demand and scale operations. Numerated has raised $17 million in total financing to date, including the recent $8 million tranche. Numerated was developed in 2015 within Eastern Bank and was spun out as an independent company in 2017; its work grew Eastern’s small business loan portfolio 4X into the #1 lender in Boston. Numerated offers a real-time commerce platform for banks that digitizes credit policies, automates marketing across email, direct mail, online and mobile, and executes credit decisions and loan closings in real time. Unlike simple workflow tools, the platform is designed to increase loan demand by marketing to customers and prospects and then maximize conversion by executing policy and funding instantly. When rolled out at Eastern Bank in December 2015, the technology facilitated nearly $100 million in lending and executed thousands of real-time decisions; loans could be processed from application to funding in under five minutes. Numerated was incubated for three years inside Eastern Labs and has since engaged multiple banks—nearly 100 reportedly reached out—with several licensing the platform prior to any public announcement. Customers and strategic partners include First Federal Lakewood (a customer and investor), Eastern Bank, and FIS. The company has launched following the spinout and intends to make the platform available more broadly to other banks to expand commercial adoption.
