- Iceotope
Participated · Series B · May 2026
Founded in 2005, Iceotope develops chassis-based precision liquid cooling systems that replace traditional air cooling to improve efficiency and reduce energy and water usage in data centres, AI infrastructure, HPC, and edge environments. Its technology is purpose-built for demanding cooling constraints across core data centers and distributed edge deployments. The company holds more than 200 granted and pending patents covering its liquid cooling approach. Iceotope plans to scale product and engineering efforts, expand its patent portfolio, and grow ecosystem partnerships following its recent fundraise. Financially, the company secured a $26 million Series B to support these initiatives; the article does not disclose revenue or other operating metrics.
- Audoo
Participated · Equity · Oct 2023
Audoo builds the Audoo Audio Meter™ and an insights platform that recognise in quasi real-time where and when music is played and how it should be paid. The company focuses on solving public performance royalty data collection and payment distribution across the data chain. Its Audio Meters are being rolled out through partnerships with PRS for Music and PPL across Europe, Australasia and Africa, and are now deployed in more than ten countries across four continents. Audoo intends to use the new funding to expand operations and its business reach globally. Founded in 2018 by Ryan Edwards and based in London, the company is an alumnus of the Abbey Road Red incubator. The recent financing brought the company’s total funding to $22M. Audoo’s core product is the Audio Meter: a small device that plugs into an electrical outlet and uses a circular microphone array to capture music played in public venues. The company applies signal-processing techniques to remove foreground noise (e.g., conversations) so its capture remains GDPR compliant. Its proprietary algorithm matches captured audio against a database of roughly 75 million tracks to produce highly accurate play reporting. Audoo positions this technology to address a roughly $2.7 billion annual problem of inaccurate royalty payments in the music industry. The startup is using new capital to accelerate expansion across Europe, North America, and the APAC region. Financially, Audoo has raised over £14 million in just under three years and has now closed a £7.2 million pre-Series B round. Audoo produces the Audio Meter, a small device that securely monitors, recognises and logs music played in venues so artists and composers can be paid appropriate public performance royalties. The startup is working with Performance Rights Organisations to make installation a condition of venue licensing, aiming to drive widespread adoption. Audoo says its system is GDPR compliant and that, if installed across all UK licensed premises, it could log around 80 million plays every 12 hours, creating a large public-performance dataset. The captured data could also help record labels, publishers, booking agents and artists refine strategy, book tours and better understand real-world consumption. The company was founded two years ago and has previously raised a £1.2 million seed round in May 2019. The latest funding will be used to roll out the Audio Meter more widely. Audoo develops a technological solution — an Audio Meter plus supporting software — to track where music is played in commercial spaces and help creatives get paid more fairly. The company works closely with Performance Rights Organisations to streamline data-entry processes and royalty distribution. Audoo was founded in 2018 by Ryan Edwards after he discovered he had not been compensated for a song broadcast in a store. In June 2020 Audoo is set to move its office to Tileyard London, which has also become an investor. The startup has added industry figures to its advisory board, including Cliff Fluet. Audoo raised €1.7 million in its latest funding round, which it says eclipsed its target.
