  • SNERPA Power

    Led · Seed · Aug 2026

Founded in January 2022 by former power-system and operations experts, SnerpaPower provides a platform that links factory operations directly to electricity contracts and markets to forecast demand and automatically adjust consumption. Its software enables industrial customers to shift or reduce non-essential electricity use to lower costs or receive payments for flexibility while production continues. The company currently manages more than 10 TWh of industrial electricity across roughly 15 Nordic locations, representing over 1% of the electricity used by industry in the EU. SnerpaPower focuses exclusively on high-consumption industrial customers rather than a wide variety of assets. With the latest €3.4 million financing (plus prior rounds including a €2.2 million seed in 2023), the company plans to expand its platform throughout Europe. Founders cite their Icelandic renewable-energy context and system-operator experience as core to the business model.

  • Gridio

    Participated · Seed · Jan 2025

Gridio develops an app-led software suite that integrates with a wide range of energy hardware—including most EV chargers, solar inverters and home batteries—to optimise energy consumption in real time. Its intelligent software automates energy use during cheaper and greener periods so consumers cut bills without additional hardware. For energy providers Gridio offers a plug-and-play platform that can roll out mobile-based smart EV and solar charging services in weeks. The company emphasizes orchestration of distributed energy devices to support grid stability as renewables scale. Gridio was founded in 2018 by Konrad Hanschmidt and Sandor Liive and is based in Tallinn. It has more than 30,000 users and aims to quadruple that user base by next year. Gridio is a Tallinn-based cleantech startup that offers a smart energy app to help residential users shift electricity consumption to cheaper and cleaner hours. Originally focused on smart charging for electric vehicles without extra hardware, the app automatically charges cars such as Tesla, Volkswagen and Škoda at the cheapest and cleanest times, delivering about 30% average savings for EV owners. The company has expanded the app to cover home energy usage and launched a free version that shows upcoming peak hours and a feature nicknamed 'Ursula Mode' to schedule or delay consumption. Gridio reports more than 30,000 downloads and over 15,000 registered users across 10 countries, with Denmark as its largest market. The team raised €1 million to further its mission and to launch new tools giving users smarter insights to save money and manage energy during the winter energy crisis. Gridio aims to enable residential participation in electricity markets so users can earn money by shifting consumption and help reduce reliance on gas-fired power during peak hours.
