  Wildmoka builds web-based tools that let broadcasters and social teams cut and publish clips of live TV programs in real time to social networks, websites, and mobile apps. Its platform is used across sports and entertainment programming by clients including NBC Sports, NBC News, France Télévisions, Canal+, Fox, Orange, and beIN Sports. The company emphasizes browser-based workflows so social teams can clip and share without leaving the service. Wildmoka is exploring machine learning to further automate the creation and sharing of clips during live events. Financially, Wildmoka has just completed an $8 million Series A led by Alven Capital with participation from existing investor Apicap. The startup already has five offices and plans to grow its customer base and invest in product improvements; the article notes each customer is probably worth quite a bit of money. Wildmoka closed a €2M funding round on 09/11/2015. Backers included Apicap, Entrepreneurs Factory, Starquest and Bpifrance. The company is based in Sophia Antipolis, France, and is led by Cristian Livadiotti and Thomas Menguy. It will use the funds to grow teams in R&D and Sales and to expand internationally. Wildmoka has developed a proprietary platform, Agile Media Cloud, that turns any video source in real time into enriched, navigable, interactive and social content. Its product suite includes a video clipping and sharing application to promote and monetize content on social media, a personalized instant video generator to monetize archives, and a real-time automated video analyzer; it already serves customers in France such as Canal+, D8, NRJ12 and TF1.
