  • Elvy

    Led · Equity · May 2026

Founded in 2023 by Johan Outinen and David Wedar and led by CEO Johan Outinen, Elvy sells subscription-based home energy packages in which it owns the hardware and provides installation, maintenance and a 15-year service contract. Its offering bundles solar panels, heat pumps and battery systems and is managed by a proprietary AI engine that controls and optimizes household energy generation and consumption. The company reported its subscription model grew 10x in 2025 and has built 23 MW of capacity in its distributed energy park in just over 18 months. Elvy has secured a €500 million credit facility from Scayl to fund hardware deployment at scale and has now closed a €5.9 million equity round to accelerate growth. Management says the company is prepared to invest over €1 billion and secure 600 MW within three years, and has added Knut Frängsmyr as Chairman to support that expansion.

  • Transition Metal Solutions

    Participated · Seed · Jan 2026

Transition Metal Solutions is a mining-tech startup that creates low-cost, mostly inorganic additives designed to elevate entire microbial communities inside copper heap leaches rather than targeting single strains. In laboratory tests, its proprietary cocktail has lifted copper extraction to 90% versus the 60% achieved with conventional processes, and the team anticipates commercial recovery rates of 50-70% compared with today’s 30-60%. Each mine receives a tailored formulation following microbial assays, and the company aims to build predictive models that recommend treatments in advance. Management believes the technology can materially narrow the looming global copper supply gap by increasing output 20–30% from existing operations. Near-term plans include third-party validation by a respected metallurgy laboratory and a demonstration heap containing tens of thousands of tons of ore. The recently raised seed financing will fund these milestones and support further data collection to accelerate commercialization. The company has not yet disclosed revenue or customer figures.

  • Cambrium

    Led · Seed · Oct 2023

Cambrium designs, scales and manufactures novel molecular building blocks, including its NovaColl™ collagen alternative, for personal care, fashion and beyond. The company’s platform leverages AI, automation and synthetic biology to develop innovative biomolecules. Cambrium intends to scale manufacturing and commercial activities to fully replace traditional animal‑derived collagen. Management plans to use its new funding to translate early NovaColl™ successes into lasting impact and to accelerate its product pipeline. It expects to launch molecules for new applications and industries within the next two years. Cambrium is led by CEO Mitchell Duffy and has raised €11M to date, including prior funding from Merantix.

  • Triplebar

    Participated · Equity · Oct 2023

Triplebar’s core product is its Hyper‑Throughput™ screening platform, described as a “microprocessor for biology” that integrates hardware, software, biology and biochemistry to miniaturize and accelerate evolution. The platform is used to develop biological systems for low-cost, low-footprint animal proteins, improve performance of animal cell lines for cellular meat, and discover novel therapeutic biologic candidates. Triplebar positions itself as a multi-product, multi-vertical product design engine serving food, nutrition and healthcare verticals, including bioactives, functional food proteins, cultured meat, and novel biologics. The company works with commercial partners and corporate collaborators to scale manufacturing via fermentation and cell-line optimization without genetic modification. Recent partnerships include collaboration with Umami Bioworks on cultivated seafood cell lines and with FrieslandCampina to co-develop scalable nutritional ingredients. Triplebar announced $20M in new funding to expand its product portfolio across food and biopharmaceuticals.

  • Flagship

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2023

Flagship provides a retail inventory planning platform that leverages AI and machine learning models to deliver predictive analytics for inventory decisions. Its inventory cloud solution integrates multiple data streams and applies proprietary algorithms to help brands and retailers optimize assortment, minimize overstock, and reduce lost sales from understock. Early customers include Athletic Propulsion Labs (APL), State & Liberty, Cariuma, Ministry of Supply, and Public Rec. Led by CEO Justin Abrams and based in New York, the company plans to use new capital to further accelerate its first product and grow its customer base. In November 2023 Flagship raised $5M in a Seed funding round led by Insight Partners, with participation from Dream Ventures, Essential Capital, Klemhurst, Future Archives, AUFI Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Scout Fund and angel investors. The infusion positions the company to expand product development and sales efforts as it scales.
