DeFi United is a coordinated, multi-protocol rescue fund created by Aave service providers and other ecosystem participants to remediate losses from the KelpDAO bridge exploit that produced ungrafted rsETH on-chain. Its primary purpose is to collect and forward contributions to a designated Ethereum address (defiunited.eth) to restore rsETH coverage and reduce claim shortfalls on Aave V3. The fund assembled $160 million in commitments, including large ETH pledges and protocol asset offers, and continues to accept donations while some contributions remain subject to governance votes. Capital committed to the fund includes direct ETH gifts, staked-asset offers (stETH), and a proposed structured credit facility from Mantle. The rescue effort targets an rsETH deficit that was initially estimated between roughly 68,900 and over 100,000 ETH and responds to modeled Aave losses ranging from about $123.7 million to $230.1 million depending on loss allocation. Participants and observers have characterized DeFi United as among the largest coordinated recovery actions seen in decentralized finance.
- Hyperbeat
Led · Seed · Aug 2025
Hyperbeat builds yield infrastructure for the Hyperliquid ecosystem, packaging funding‑rate yield into simple, tokenized vaults and unlocking yield that was previously accessible mainly to sophisticated market participants. Its core products include beHYPE (a liquid staking token), Hyperbeat Earn (high‑yield vaults on HyperEVM), Morphobeat (a credit layer for borrowing against vault positions), Hyperbeat Pay (an alternative payments/banking protocol), and the Hyperfolio wallet tracker. The protocol serves traders, protocols, and institutions by enabling users to earn, stake, borrow, and spend directly from on‑chain wallets in a permissionless manner. Hyperbeat’s infrastructure is designed to be fully integrated with Hyperliquid trading flows and to offer vaults and isolated lending products. The company plans to use new funding to further develop its yield infrastructure for traders, protocols, and institutions in the Hyperliquid ecosystem. The announcement notes Hyperliquid’s total value locked has surpassed $2.1 billion, a backdrop that has increased institutional interest in the ecosystem.
- RISE Labs
Participated · Seed · Sep 2024
Rise is a layer-2 blockchain built on Ethereum designed to solve transaction speed limits by enabling more than 100,000 transactions per second. The project was developed beginning in 2023 by founders Sam Battenally, Nguyễn Quang Hải (CTO), and Sasha Mai. Rise positions itself to handle hundreds of thousands of transactions per second while preserving blockchain decentralization. The team highlights practical plans to unlock new decentralized applications and drive end‑user adoption by removing current throughput constraints. Technically focused on scalability, the product targets a throughput class among the highest in the market. Financially, Rise recently completed a seed financing to support development and growth.
