Vessi Medical has developed an IP-protected cryospray system purposely designed for hollow and humid organs as a novel, minimally invasive approach to treat non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). The technology is positioned as an alternative to the invasive first-line therapy TURBT and has been used in a first-in-human study. Led by Founder and CEO Eyal Kochavi, the company aims to reduce side effects, improve patient outcomes, and lower healthcare costs relative to current surgical approaches. Vessi plans to use new funding to expand R&D capabilities and support clinical studies in Israel and the U.S. The company is also pursuing regulatory clearance to bring its treatment to patients and physicians. Vessi Medical develops an intravesical cryotherapy system for superficial (non‑muscle invasive) bladder cancer. Its core product is a minimally invasive system composed of a standalone console and a disposable device inserted transurethrally into the bladder. The company is led by CEO Eyal Kochavi and is advancing the technology to improve quality of life for NMIBC patients. Vessi raised $1.7M in funding to continue development of its device. The proceeds are intended to support the planned first‑in‑human study to demonstrate safety and efficacy in Q1 2021.
