  Tappity offers an interactive library of live-action, science-focused video lessons aligned to Next Generation Science Standards for children ages 4–10, with over 200 lessons comprising thousands of videos. The app simulates one-on-one interaction (e.g., handing a teacher a screwdriver or throwing pizza) and includes an in-app points system plus parent follow-up emails. Content is led by teacher Haley the Science Gal and spans space, life, earth and physical sciences; the company has adapted lessons for offline and family activities during COVID. Tappity has over 5,000 paying customers, about 20,000 weekly active users and users have completed 30 million lessons; subscription tiers average around $9 per month. The team expects more than 1,000 hours of video by the end of next year and over 4,000 hours the following year. In the near term the company plans to expand its team and bring lessons (currently iOS-only) to the web while continuing to grow its interactive content library.
