Inspiration Mobility is a sustainable infrastructure platform dedicated to accelerating the electrification of transportation by investing in, owning and managing the real assets that enable the EV transition. Its first two operating businesses, Inspiration Fleet and Inspiration Energy, provide integrated solutions that reduce the cost and complexity of electrification for fleets. Inspiration Fleet is described as the world’s first EV-only Fleet Management Company (eFMC), financing EVs and providing fleet management services for light-duty fleet businesses, including payment plans that can bundle vehicle and charging costs and aggregate payment across depots, public stations and in-home chargers. The company says the new capital will enable it to accelerate work electrifying commercial fleets and reduce costs and greenhouse gas emissions for customers. The announcement reports an additional $215 million raised, bringing total investable capital to $415 million. The release cites market metrics the company targets: roughly 3.5 million light-duty vehicles are operated by 600–700 fleet owners in the U.S., driving about 158 billion miles and emitting about 64.5 million metric tons of CO2 annually. Inspiration is an EV asset financing company that provides balance-sheet capital to finance vehicles and related charging and energy infrastructure for commercial fleets. The firm offers full‑stack or a la carte solutions—financing vehicles, designing and operating charging systems, and coordinating energy services—for emerging EV fleet operators, corporate fleets, and other fleet use cases. It came out of stealth after operating since the end of Q1 and has Revel as an early customer, helping that operator source 49 EVs. Inspiration plans to build, own and operate charging infrastructure and to finance complementary energy assets such as solar, energy storage and real estate. Founder and CEO Josh Green says the company aims to expand into light and medium-duty segments across North America. The business launched with a $200M capital commitment intended as balance-sheet/platform capital to fund infrastructure assets and general corporate purposes.
