- Citalid
Participated · Series A · Oct 2022
Citalid is a SaaS cyber risks management and decision‑support platform that calibrates analysis, simulates pricing, and models the ROI of security investments by cross‑referencing technical, contextual and financial data. Available in SaaS, the tool lets companies assess exposure to cyber risks, prioritize defense and insurance strategies, and simulate associated returns on investment. Founded in 2017 by Maxime Cartan and Alexandre Dieulangard, former ANSSI cyber threat intelligence specialists, Citalid positions itself as a trusted third party between insureds and insurers. In October 2022 the company raised €12.0M in a Series A led by Seventure Partners, with participation from Relyens, Albingia, Fiblac and historical investors Axeleo Capital and BNP Paribas Development. The company plans to use the funding to increase investments in its commercial strike force, strengthen R&D, expand internationally (notably Germany and England), and develop partnerships with distributors and resellers in France and worldwide. Citalid has been awarded two innovation prizes at the Assises de la Sécurité in 2018. Citalid builds a platform that financially evaluates cyber risks for individual clients by analyzing likely threats, defensive maturity, and geopolitical context. Its algorithms model probabilities and financial impacts for the most likely attack scenarios and rely on internationally recognized defensive evaluation criteria (CIS 20, NIST, ISO). The platform models all types of financial loss collaboratively with business teams, from lost productivity to fines and losses in competitiveness or reputation. Citalid’s solution has been adopted by many major French companies, and its R&D team continuously models and integrates new attacks while planning to improve prediction capabilities through AI. The company will use new funding to recruit talent, accelerate growth in France and internationally, and explore new use cases such as cyber insurance. Citalid was founded in 2017 by Maxime Cartan and Alexandre Dieulangard, who previously worked on cyber threat intelligence for France’s national cyber defense authority.
- Cosmian

Cosmian builds advanced cryptography and encryption technologies that keep data encrypted during use, an approach it calls Ubiquitous Encryption. The company provides tools and a public Secure Computation platform to let developers and IT teams run confidential computations without exposing data, algorithms, or results. Cosmian says its solutions are easy to deploy and aimed at democratizing confidential computing for SaaS providers, developers, and data engineers. The company has validated its technology with early customers in financial services, healthcare, energy, and defence, and has technological partnerships with Intel and Denodo. Cosmian employs about twenty people, including researchers and developers specialized in cryptography. The company plans to use the new funding to increase development capacity and accelerate market traction for critical applications. Cosmian has built a decentralized data intelligence platform that performs queries and calculations on encrypted private data without revealing the underlying data. The company leverages recent advances in functional and homomorphic encryption to enable computations while preserving confidentiality. Its solutions target companies that use sensitive private data and need to ensure compliance and reduce risks of non‑confidentiality. Cosmian positions itself as bridging high‑level cryptographic research and industrial applications, with endorsements from academic researchers involved in privacy‑by‑design cryptography. The team emphasizes solving what it calls the “Paradox of Private Data,” enabling useful analytics without exposing raw data. Sandrine Murcia is cited as CEO and the company highlights demand for data security tools in enterprise markets.
