- Sentient
Participated · Seed · Jul 2026
Sentient develops a decentralized AI infrastructure called GRID that connects more than 100 models, data sources and reasoning agents to enable compositional multi-model responses. Built products include Dobby (a family of open-source LLMs tuned for community-aligned values), Sentient Chat (an agent-aggregation interface) and Open Deep Search, which the team says outperformed closed alternatives on the FRAMES benchmark. The project issues the SENT token for staking, governance, service payments and contributor rewards to coordinate a distributed community of developers, data providers and infrastructure operators. Sentient was founded in January 2024 by Sandeep Nailwal, Pramod Viswanath and Himanshu Tyagi and has secured an $85M seed round plus a $42M grants/investment program for open AGI research, bringing total committed capital above $125M. The team emphasizes keeping advanced models and agents openly available and auditable rather than proprietary. Following a listing of SENT on a major exchange, the token jumped about 20% on July 9, 2026, an event the coverage characterizes as liquidity-driven and highlights execution and adoption risk as key determinants of long-term value.
- Drift
Participated · Series B · Sep 2024
Founded in 2021, Drift is a decentralized derivatives exchange on Solana that offers perpetual futures, spot trading, lending, borrowing and cross-margin trading. It has more than 175,000 users and roughly $150 billion in cumulative trading volume. On April 1 the protocol was exploited for more than $270 million after attackers infiltrated the project, prompting substantial user losses and a roughly 70% drop in the DRIFT governance token. In response, Drift agreed to transition its settlement layer from Circle’s USDC to Tether’s USDT and to relaunch as a USDT-based perpetuals DEX on Solana. The company is pursuing recovery of user funds and platform reboot supported by the Tether-led funding package that includes revenue-linked repayments, grants, and liquidity support for market makers.

In April Huma merged with Arf, combining two PayFi/on-demand liquidity players. Huma and Arf have already surpassed $1.8 billion in payment financing transactions and are on track to reach $10 billion next year, becoming a fast-growing use case for Circle’s USDC. Huma is an income-backed DeFi lending protocol based in San Francisco that builds infrastructure components to enable income-backed decentralized financial services for people and businesses. The company is developing an on-chain factoring market and working with launch partners to enable borrowing against invoices and user incomes. Initial launch partners include Circle, Request Network and Superfluid, which are enabling borrowing against invoices and users’ incomes. Huma was founded by Erbil Karaman, Richard Liu, Ji Peng and Lei Du. The company plans to use the seed funds to continue developing the platform and to expand its reach into new markets.
