The company combines third-party ground station integrations and strategic partnerships (AWS, Kinéis) with proprietary antennas and software orchestration, including virtualised modem technologies. Its hybrid economic model reduces revisit time to under 20 minutes and doubles data download volume per satellite pass, while halving costs for operators with smaller data volumes. In less than a year Skynopy has added more than 15 antennas to its network and successfully tested an operational download with Airbus from Pléiades Neo satellites, completing setup in under two weeks. Founded at the end of 2023 and based in Paris, the company completed a new €15 million funding round led by Alven with Expansion, Omnes, CNES (SpaceFounders) and Heartcore participating. The funding will accelerate commercial deployment, strengthen technical and marketing teams, and support development of the AKAR unified high-speed, real-time space network planned for 2028. Skynopy is a Paris-based space startup founded in October 2023 by former Loft Orbital directors Pierre Bertrand and Antonin Hirsch that provides simplified satellite connectivity. It offers an "as-a-service" hybrid ground-antenna network and universal connectors that let satellite operators send commands and receive data without managing complex ground-station infrastructure. The company positions itself as an "Airbnb of ground antennas," aiming to scale quickly and offer high-bandwidth links while limiting CAPEX through interfacing with existing ground station networks. In its first six months Skynopy signed and delivered contracts with French space players including HEMERA and CNES. Skynopy closed a $3.1M fundraising round in only three weeks a few months after its creation; the funds will accelerate commercial deployment and recruitment. Its business model focuses on removing technical and commercial complexity from satellite operators to provide a mobile-phone-like connectivity experience.

    Gama is a French aerospace startup developing low-cost solar sails that use light for spacecraft propulsion. It plans an in-space demonstration in October: a CubeSat to be launched on a SpaceX Falcon 9 that will deploy a 789-square-foot sail at roughly 342 miles altitude (dimensions suggest about 10 meters across). The company deploys its petal-style sail by gently spinning the satellite and using centrifugal force to unfurl large surfaces, which it says reduces structural weight. Gama is iterating rapidly and is already designing a second mission to deploy at higher altitude and demonstrate steering to provide a reliable low-cost alternative to traditional propulsion. Financially, Gama has collected $2 million in funding from the French Public Investment Bank (BPI), the French Space Agency (CNES) and angel investors to support the demonstration. The company was founded in 2020 by Louis de Gouyon Matignon, Thibaud Elziere and Andrew Nutter.

    Kinéis develops a constellation of nanosatellites to provide global connectivity and data collection for IoT, working with terrestrial IoT operators, device manufacturers and existing satellite operators. The company debuted in 2018 as a CLS Group spin-off and is Occitanie-based. Kinéis aims to add 25 nanosatellites and place them into orbit by 2022, with a goal of connecting several million objects worldwide by 2030. Its first components include Argos operational payloads on seven satellites and the ANGELS prototype, launched in December 2019. The satellites will weigh under 30 kg, be fitted with electric propulsion for end-of-life de-orbiting and include collision-avoidance capabilities to comply with France’s Space Operations Act and reduce space debris. Kinéis has appointed Alexandre Tisserant as President and secured funding to focus on satellite manufacturing and commercial deployment.
